I am so sad to hear of Scotts passing. What an amazing gentle and caring man. Every time the family was together Scott always made me feel welcome as I was the sister in law, since divorced but I will always remember Scott's kindness. Rest easy

When I met Scott freshman year in high school, he was different from the other boys. Always polite, kind, and thoughtful, it was easy to like him. What I didn't expect was that by senior year, we'd start dating and I would fall head over heels for him. We dated for four years before we went our separate ways to pursue careers, but Scott was never far from my mind. Thirty years later, circumstances brought us back to one another and it was as if no time had passed. Still so considerate and generous with his feelings, I've never known a more gentle soul who loved with all his being and cared about everyone he met. His coworkers shared stories that did not surprise me - Scott's compassion and dedication was admired by all. Those close to him know he bravely fought ALS for 11 years, but I didn't see that. All I saw was the sweet boy I had dated years ago. When he asked me to marry him, I didn't hesitate. We squeezed a lifetime of love and laughter into a few short years. It was an honor being the wife of such a wonderful man and I will forever cherish the time we had together and the memories we made. "I love you, Scott Hansen!"
