Scott Hansen Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 29, 2024.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Scott Hansen, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend. Scott left us peacefully, surrounded by his family, who will forever cherish his memory.

Scott is survived by his loving wife and high school sweetheart, Kelly; and her son, Bailey; his children Davin, Beck, and Suvi, and their mother. He also leaves behind his mother, Marie Hansen, brother Chris and his wife Melanie; brother Karl and his wife Kim; sister Maria; nephews Nicholas, Eddie, Patrick, Andrew, and Chase; and nieces Olivia, Rose, and Makenzie.

Scott was an extraordinary osteopathic doctor who dedicated his life to helping others. He ran several free clinics, providing care and compassion to countless patients in need. Beyond his professional achievements, Scott had a passion for music, cooking, comedy, and dogs. His generosity and love for others were evident in every aspect of his life.

Scott's legacy of kindness, humor, and dedication will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the many lives he touched through his work and personal passions.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Scott's memory to Feeding America.

I am so sad to hear of Scotts passing. What an amazing gentle and caring man. Every time the family was together Scott always made me feel welcome as I was the sister in law, since divorced but I will always remember Scott's kindness. Rest easy

When I met Scott freshman year in high school, he was different from the other boys. Always polite, kind, and thoughtful, it was easy to like him. What I didn't expect was that by senior year, we'd start dating and I would fall head over heels for him. We dated for four years before we went our separate ways to pursue careers, but Scott was never far from my mind. Thirty years later, circumstances brought us back to one another and it was as if no time had passed. Still so considerate and generous with his feelings, I've never known a more gentle soul who loved with all his being and cared about everyone he met. His coworkers shared stories that did not surprise me - Scott's compassion and dedication was admired by all. Those close to him know he bravely fought ALS for 11 years, but I didn't see that. All I saw was the sweet boy I had dated years ago. When he asked me to marry him, I didn't hesitate. We squeezed a lifetime of love and laughter into a few short years. It was an honor being the wife of such a wonderful man and I will forever cherish the time we had together and the memories we made. "I love you, Scott Hansen!"
