Scott High Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Aug. 24 to Aug. 25, 2004.
High , SCOTT RIEHLMANN, 28, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend left us on August 21, 2004, at home. Scott was born March 29, 1976 in Metairie, LA to Tim and Alex High. Scott was a graduate of Berkner High School and later attended Sam Houston State College. He worked for Fidelity Investments for 2 1/2 years. Scott was shy and quiet, but when he did speak it was relevant. He was much smarter than you would know. He loved children and would have made a great coach or teacher. Scott over came many illnesses, operations and health problems during his life, but the discipline required of a diabetic was not his strongest attribute. Through the perseverance of his loving mother, who was constantly encouraging, pleading, and praying for him, he lived as long as he could. For those he left behind, it was not long enough. Scott is survived by his parents Tim and Alex High, sister Kimberly Quiroga, brother-in-law Michael Quiroga, canine companion Junior, niece Madison Quiroga who will always remember Uncle Scott, and aunts, uncles, and cousins in Louisiana and California. A memorial service will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, August 25, 2004 at the Sparkman Richardson Funeral Home Chapel. Donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association P.O. Box 1132 Fairfax, VA 22038-1132 Dignity Memorial Sparkman Richardson 1029 S. Greenville Richardson (972) 238-7855

During the last week at work, Scott reflected a true talent for leadership. He wouldn't take no for an answer and truely took the extra step to help the customers he work with; demonstrating his integrity and commitment to others. I'm glad I had the opportunity to work with you Scott!

Scott was a wonderful person and a great team member. I will never forget his wonderful smile ,great out look on life and great personality. I can still see Scott's shoe screen savers with all the shoes that he loved.

Scott will always be an important part of our team.

My sympathy goes out to his entire family.

What a great guy. I'm going to miss the way we said Hi to each other, by displaying the Whataburger sign with our hands.
