Scott Gregory Nash â€" In loving memory of a true Master Builder 17 March 2015 One year has now passed since Scott left for eternal retirement. Scott achieved many things in his life. A husband and father, a successful businessman building a construction empire from scratch, 25 years with the Master Builders Association of NSW and 10 years with the Euberta RFS. From his skill with every kind of tool that would fashion wood or metal, brick or cement, Scott engaged with the world as a man who would be its master. But Scott being Scott, he would not be restricted to the stereotype of the average builder and incorporated his passion for building into all aspects of his life building more than just physical buildings, but building relationships, communities and a family. He was an incredibly generous person who was passionate about giving back in any way that he thought he could. The positive difference he made in the lives of those he touched is still evident today. Scott was a generous man, husband and father who has been missed every day. His loyalty and faithfulness to the important people in his life could be seen in the way he steadfastly maintained his relationships with his childhood friends and family. As the husband, he treated Kim like a princess. Forever patient, enthusiastic and supportive of Kim's crafty endeavors. As a dedicated father to Erin, Kree and Tegan, Scott was a wise, thoughtful, patient and cheeky guide through life. Whether it was a school studies, coaching softball, cheerleading, career aspirations and achievements, he was always their biggest fan. To his four girls, Scott was the Master of their Universe. As a successful businessman and Master Builder, Scott's last masterpiece was no doubt the Grange Lifestyle Village. In the last years of his life he loved life on site, having smoko with the boys, thinking of ways to make things better, developing relationships with RSL Lifecare and the residents, who some he was privileged enough to call friends. His passion for this development was evident in every aspect of his time there, with his legacy hidden even in the smallest detail. An extra perk was that his trusty sidekick, Jedda the chocolate Labrador, was able to share in the experience. Scott was incredible, even during his illness, the girls would walk into the house and kiss their Dad and say "how are you feeling today?" and he would always say "magnificent", even though he hardly had the energy to get the word itself out. Still heartbroken that he is gone, but not forgotten, Scott was no doubt the biggest influence in his girls lives and his legacy and character lives on in their own conscience. It is sad that a man of such talent, such capability, such kindness, generosity and intelligence was so suddenly spirited away at the age of only 56. All before he had achieved so many of the things at which he was capable and before he had had enough fun. Today we remember Scott. You are never far from our hearts. We love you Dad. Kim, Erin, Luke, Kree, Justin, Tegan and Bill "For it is not true by the way that mermen don't exist. We know at least one personally. And we are proud to have held his hand." Please join us at the 2016 Wagga Melanoma March on Sunday, March 20 at the Wagga Music Bowl to March for Scotty.
