Scott Schaffer Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 16, 2025.
Scott Allen Schaffer, born on August 1, 1959, passed away on February 14, 2025, at his home in Daytona, Florida, surrounded by family after a brief illness.

Scott spent most of his adult life in Columbus, Ohio, before moving to Daytona, Florida. He found joy in life's simple moments and pleasures. He took immense pride in celebrating the achievements of his children and grandchildren. Whether attending their sporting events or simply spending time together, he cherished every moment with them.

A devoted Cleveland sports fan, Scott especially loved cheering for the Browns. He enjoyed watching games with family and friends, sharing in both the highs and lows (mostly lows) of his favorite team. Whether supporting his children and grandchildren at their events or enjoying days on the water with loved ones, he was always a PROUD and supportive father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Benita Jo Schaffer and Josef Joshua Schaffer. He is survived by his children: Nicole Schaffer Werner (Rex Werner), Natalie Schaffer, and Tyler Schaffer (Eugenia Schaffer). He was a beloved grandfather to Alexis Parks, Amaya Parks, Micah Ross, Makai Ross, Austin Ross, Jackson Werner, Lucas Werner, and Winifred Schaffer. He is also survived by his brothers Ricky Schaffer (Diane Schaffer) and Rodney Schaffer; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on March 15, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the residence of Tyler and Gena at 481 Lockmead Dr., Pataskala, Ohio 43062.

Scott's legacy lives on through the love and support he shared with his family and friends. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
