Bellingham , Washington - Sean Ahern of Bellingham, WA passed away on May 11th 2021 at the Hospice House after a long battle of kidney and heart failure. Sean was born and raised in San Francisco, CA. He moved to Bellingham WA when he was 20 and met the love of his life Pamela Vail. Sean was a Navy veteran and was a captain at Marietta fire department for 5 years, before moving to Pennsylvania. Sean worked for US Airways on the east coast for over 20 years which he loved doing. He then retired and moved back to Bellingham, where he worked at Silver Reef. But after a few years, his health took a turn and his body had other plans. He then spent his days at home where he loved watching TV with his wife and being around his grandkids and grandpup. He was a huge fan of the Seattle Seahawks and Seattle Mariners. He also loved to go fishing at Lake Padden. He loved to watch Clint Eastwood & John Wayne movies and listen to the Doobie Brothers. He would've given the shirt off his back for anyone in need. Sean eventually had to go on kidney dialysis and was cared for at Mt Baker Kidney Center with Dr. Moss and RN Mary along with many others and had to be cared for at home by his daughter in-law Tanya and his wife Pamela.
Sean is survived by his wife and soulmate Pamela Ahern of 45 years. His 2 sons Richard (Tanya) of Bellingham, WA and Jeff (Sheila) of Green Bay, WI and 9 grandchildren, Kenny, Katelynn and Sean of Bellingham. Hana and Tristan of Green Bay, April and Evan of Seattle, Angel and Caleb of Bellingham and a grandpup Bella that he cherished. A niece he thought of as a daughter, Tarria Conger with several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Paul and Mary.
