Elizabeth M. "Betty" Thompson, 93, of Colts Neck, passed away on December 21, 2014 peacefully in her home. Born in Moorestown, she was a long time resident of Colts Neck. Betty graduated from Trenton State Teachers College and taught for 16 years at Farmingdale and Colts Neck Elementary Schools. She was a member of Colts Neck Reformed Church, and of Colts Neck Atlantic Grange #216, and the Pomona, State and National Granges.

Betty was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Alice Makin; and her sister, Ruth Makin. She is survived by her husband, Garrett Rezeau Thompson; her three children and their spouses, David Rezeau and Margie Thompson, of Wrentham, MA; Barbara Elaine Thompson and Charles Saulenas, of Torrance, CA; Shirley and Stephen Harrison, of Adamstown, MD; her brother, Charles B. Makin Jr., of Moorestown; and her four grandchildren.

A viewing will be held Friday, December 26, from 4 to 8 PM at the Freeman Funeral Home, 47 E Main St, Freehold. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday 11 AM at Colts Neck Reformed Church, Colts Neck. Interment will follow at Atlantic Cemetery, Colts Neck.
