Sean Dewees Obituary

Published by The Times Herald from Aug. 7 to Aug. 8, 2014.
Sean M. Dewees Sr. of Telford You'll probably not see his name up in lights; Sean's not a man of many words, of glory or of fame. He values the people he loves and friendship, to him was a prize. Contentment with life was written on his face and happiness shined in his eyes. You only live once - but if you do it right, once is enough. On Monday August 4, 2014 Sean M. Dewees, Sr. passed away at Einstein Montgomery Hospital in East Norriton. Although it was just a short lap around the track, we'll look back on this and smile because it was life and Sean lived it well. Sean was born in Seattle, WA and had been a resident of West Norriton where he was a 1980 graduate of Norristown High School before recently moving to Telford. He had worked at Philadelphia Country Club and was a Philadelphia Eagles fan. He was an avid NASCAR, #5 Kasey Khane and #14 Tony Stewart fan but loved nothing more than spending time sitting home with his #1, his son Sean, Jr. Home is where your treasure is. There, your heart will also be... Sean leaves at home; his wife of 14 years, Betty (nee Bolton) and his son Sean M., Jr. He is also survived by his brother Richard Dewees and is the son of the late Richard & Ann (nee Gartin) Dewees. Relatives and friends are invited to join the Dewees family to Remember Sean, Celebrate the excitement of Sunday at the races and pay tribute to a husband, father, brother and friend on Saturday morning between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm at Boyd-Horrox-Givnish Life Celebration Home 200 W. Germantown Pike, Norristown. Inurnment and graveside tribute will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery. Norristown. As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Einstein Montgomery Hospice 1330 Powell St. Norristown, PA 19401 www.einstein.edu Please visit www.lifecelebration.com 1-800-GIVNISH.

To the family of Sean Dewees, Sr.,

I am so very sorry to read of Sean's passing and offer my heart-felt condolences to Sean's family. I hadn't seen Sean in so very many years, but have very fond memories of him from when we were young. My thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and son, and his brother Richard.

To the family of Sean Dewees, my wife, Doris and I were so sorry to hear about the passing of Sean. My name is Moe Schiavo and I was very close friends with Sean parents, Dick and Annie. My history with Dick and Bob goes way back to before junior high playing sports. I can remember Dick and Annie being so proud of their sons ... I miss them and wish it could have been possible for me to know Sean. He sounds like a great guy. We're so sorry for your loss.

To the family of Sean DeWees,

Please accept my most sincere condolences on your loss. Sean and I worked together at PCC until my retirement. He was kind enough to stop at my home from time to time to pick up or deliver things for the club. It's was a terrible shock to hear of his passing. May God give you the strength to deal with this loss.

With warm thoughts,

Lillian Cahill
