Aug. 22, 2009 - Sept. 1, 2009 SOUTH BEND - Our precious Baby Girl, Shaniya LaShay Williams was born August 22, 2009 in South Bend, Indiana and was taken into the arms of Jesus at 3:10 p.m. on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. Born to Alex Williams, Jr. of Gary, Indiana and Latricia Mainer of South Bend. Shaniya is survived by a half brother, DeShawn Williams, grandmother, Sharina Snowden, grandfather, Lentwood Mainer, grandmother, Robin Lobdell and grandfather, Alex Williams, Sr., great grandfather, John Godwin, great- great grandfathers, Pearl Smith, Robie Faye Smith and Louise Bond, aunts, Lakenia Warren, Laticia and Lakeisha Mainer, Sharae and Shontae Williams, uncles, Cordero, Monte and Trey Mainer and William Williams, cousins, Maurice and Jameer Phillips, Martel Winston, Tanijah Doss, Jonah and Aaron Primm, Bakari Barnes, Jr., Blair Nilli, Aniyah Osborne, Shatiya Williams, Miracle Diggins, Honesty and Saniya Frazier, Raeyeona Horrell and Da'Coldest Brownlee along with a host of other relatives. Shaniya was preceded in death by her grandmother Vernell Jean Snowden and great grandmother, Helen Godwin. Funeral services for Shaniya LaShay Williams were held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2009 at River of Life Church. Interment services will take place at 2:00 p.m. on today, September 11, 2009 at Highland Cemetery.
