Shannon McKeehan Obituary
(Griesbaum),
38, passed away May 19, 2017. She was born in Louisville on April 15, 1979.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Frederick Anthony and Mary Rita Griesbaum and Leslie Estill and Gladys Smitha.
Shannon is survived by her husband, John Wesley McKeehan; two daughters, Kathryn Elene and Mary Alice McKeehan; her mother, Donna Griesbaum; her father, Lonnie Griesbaum (Joyce Hall); two sisters, Lisa Bennett (Mark) and Jennifer Griesbaum; one brother, Frederick Griesbaum (Chelsea Mayer); her mother-in-law, Lola McKeehan; two stepsons, Bradford and Zachary McKeehan; several aunts and uncles, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends who loved her dearly.
She and her husband, John, were married June 2nd, 2001 at St. Louis Bertrand Church, Louisville, KY. Shannon studied at Ivy Tech Community College, and known for her quick wit and never ending smile, she was a much loved, cheerful server at several Louisville eateries. She had a particular interest in indigenous peoples and loved nature and animals.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 a.m. Friday, at St. Louis Bertrand Catholic Church, 1104 S. Sixth Street with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road "in St. Matthews".

I met Shannon when I was 15. Her smile was infectious. I had the honor of standing up there with her as a Bridesmaid in her wedding. Oh the stories of that day seeing her marry her love. She will be greatly missed.
