Sharon Linn

Sharon L. VanGilder Linn, 59, of the Benton's Ferry Community, passed away Friday (Aug. 28, 2009) at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. She was born April 6, 1950, in Fairmont, a daughter of the late Allen E. and Bonnie L. "Gower" VanGilder. She is survived by her husband Lloyd A. "Bugs" Linn.Mrs. Linn was a Methodist by faith. She was a 1968 graduate of East Fairmont High School. She was homemaker in her own home for over the past 14 years. Sharon had previously worked with Thrift Drug at the Middletown Mall in Fairmont. She loved to cross stitch, can food and work outside. Her grandchildren were the "light of her life." She defined herself as "a wife, a mother and a grandmother above all else".Survivors include her husband, Lloyd A. "Bugs" Linn of Benton's Ferry; daughters, Teresa Kaye and her husband James Connor of Fairmont and Tammy Sue Linn of Benton's Ferry; grandchildren, Colton Riley Connor and Olivia Linn Connor; brother, Allen "Bub" and his wife Linda VanGilder of Morgantown; sisters, Patti and her husband Roger Perdue of Fairmont, Beverly and her husband Steve Opas of Fairmont; a close aunt, Maronee Turner of Pleasant Valley; parents-in-law, Lloyd E. and his wife Emma Irene Linn of Benton's Ferry; sister-in-law Karen and her husband Randy Carpenter of Benton's Ferry; past sister-in-law, Gerry VanGilder Rowan of Morgantown.She also is survived by several special nieces and nephewsShe was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Gary VanGilder and brothers-in-law Larry Linn and Mark Linn.Memorial donations may be made to Relay For Life, care of the American Cancer Society, P.O.
