Sharon Gay Pender SOCIETY HILL - Sharon Gay Pender, 48, died Saturday, December 05, 2009. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Kistler-Hardee Funeral Home, conducted by Reverend Eric Sloan. Burial will follow in Welsh Neck Baptist Church Cemetery. Sharon was born in Wilmington, North Carolina. She was the daughter of Paul Evander and Janice Faye O'Banion Pender. She graduated from Spring Valley High School and the Nursing Program at Florence Darlington Technical College. Sharon also enjoyed nursing for the Girl Scout Summer Camps. Surviving are her parents Paul Evander and Janice Faye O'Banion Pender of Florence; her son, Brandon Edwards of Society Hill; her brothers, Rory Brooks Pender and Brian Alex Pender; and her formal husband, Ira Edwards of Society Hill. Sharon was preceded in death by her grandparents, Paul and Lizzie Pender. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Monday, December 7, 2009 at Kistler-Hardee Funeral Home. Janice, I met you and your beautiful daughter Sharon, when my son was in St. Francis over Thanksgiving. Though we only had a few minutes to talk, I could hear the love in your voice, and see it in your eyes. Please take peace in knowing that Sharons'soul is where we all inspire ours to be.
