Shassidy N. Harris, 39 of Lubbock, passed away on Friday, March 10, 2023. Celebration of life Service will be held Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Parkway Church of Christ. Private Disposition under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Shassidy was born on July 10, 1983, to Vanessa Harris and Craig Harris. Shassidy worked for Kidz Kare II for several years and touched the hearts of numerous families. Shassidy had a special love and understanding of children, and it was felt by all. Besides spending time with her loved ones, Shassidy also enjoyed cooking, watching movies, and shopping. She leaves to cherish her memory; her mother, Vanessa Smith; her sons, Alexander Harris and Kristofer Cummings; her daughter, Amoree Cummings; sisters, De'Quisha Robsion-Griffin (Norman) and Monica Walker (Damario); a host of other relatives, and friends.

As a mother no one can feel the pain of the loss of a child. I have good days and not so good days. I miss my youngest child tremendously. My heart aches with a pain I´ve never felt before. While God tells me she is in a much better place, the flesh, the human part of me wants her back so bad. I love and miss my SHASSIDY NICOLE HARRIS!!!! I think this is the hardest, most devastating, most painful thing I´ve ever had to go through. However my faith in God and His son Jesus Christ tells me it´s going to be ok. All thing work for the good of those who love the Lord. I do love the Lord and I love my baby Shassidy Nicole Harris. RIH ( Rest in heaven.) I pray to see you soon. Your loving mother, Vanessa M. Smith.
