What can I say to possibly explain how much I love my sister and how much I'm going to miss her? There simply aren't sufficient words. For as long as I can remember, Shelly was always there if I needed anything. She provided everything from a delicious meal to a shoulder to cry on. Her love was unconditional and she gave it freely without any expectations. She was so sweet, warm-hearted and always had the most beautiful smile. I could go on and on forever about what a wonderful person she was. Suffice it to say that she is dearly loved, and I will miss her every day for the rest of my life. She was more than just a big sister to me. She was one of my best friends. If there was ever a person fit to be a guardian angel, it's my beautiful sister, Shelly.

Miss Shelly, you showed me what a close family is, and the love and patience you showed to me and my children made me a much better man. I hope you know how much you meant to me. You're the best and made this world a better place. I guess heaven needed a mother cuz that is what you were to all of us. You'll be sorely missed. Love you sis.

I picture a life like a bright burning light and when that light goes out all is surrounded in dark. But sometimes there are lights that burn so bright that they infuse other lights to shine leaving that single light without enough to burn for long, but in that small gift of infusion they take more of the darkness away leaving more lights to burn brighter. Shelly was that kind of light, she will be missed but the dark spaces she helped fill up with light will burn forever.
