Sheri Aguilar Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 30, 2014.
Sheri Lene Kloogh-Aguilar born September 21st, 1958 passed away September 30th, 2014 at the age of 56 in Laguna, California. Sheri goes to join her beloved father, Reidar Kloogh. She is survived by her four children, Amanda, Daniel, Lene and Alysha Aguilar. She was also blessed with two step-grandchildren, Mia and Hannah Bray. Sheri was born in Salt Lake City Utah, the 4th of 5 daughters of Reidar and Irma Kloogh and a member of the LDS church. Sheri moved to California when she was 7 years old. As a child, Sheri was referred to by her father as the "little reporter", always keeping everyone up to date on all of the happenings. She would stand at the corner of the street before her dad could even drive down to the house to tell him all of the news. Sheri graduated from Foothill High School in 1977 with her closest friends by her side, Cindy Burt, Lisa Osborn, Janine Gordon, Jonni Hawkins Thomas, and Vicky Aston. In high school she was nicknamed "smiley" since she was always so happy and smiling everywhere she went. After high school Sheri had a few jobs but none as significant as when she worked at Western Medical hospital. During her time there she made many new friends and created many wonderful memories. This would also turn out to be where she met her future husband, Joe. On August 11th, 1979 Sheri married Joseph P. Aguilar in Las Vegas, Nevada. A year later they started their family; Amanda ( born 1980), Daniel (born 1983), Lene (born 1985) and Alysha (born 1990). Growing up with a Sheri for a mother was indescribable. Sheri wanted everything to always be just perfect for her kids and she did the very best she could. She supported each of her children as they grew to face the world. She was so excited about the upcoming marriage of her son Daniel to his fiancé Lindsey Patino. Her children will always remember her for her warm heart, soothing ways, determination, strong will, and her ability to make everything better. Sheri dreamed about going into the medical field, whether to help animals or people. Later in life she attended University of Phoenix and received her Associate's Degree. She also went to American Career College where she graduated top of her class as a Medical Assistant. She worked hard to go after her dreams and she did not allow anything to get in the way. Sheri had a few great loves in her life. One of which was animals. She loved all animals and creatures of the world. She held a special place for her beloved furry friends Shronda and Bjorn. Sheri would not only go without to give to her kids but you could find her going out of her way to help others as well. Sheri loved people and could strike up a conversation with anyone she met. She loved people, her family, and friends. Often times Sheri would reminisce about stories of her time with her sisters Susan Thompson, Peggy Crismon, Linda Kloogh and Traci Dawson. Sheri always described such a beautiful childhood full of great times, laughs, and a lot of love. Sheri was so close to her parents Reidar and Irma, and sisters along with Steven Ostmark and family. Thank you to her family, friends, and people who knew and loved our wonderful mother Sheri. Services will be held on Saturday, October 11th. "I have felt pain, I have endured hardship, I have suffered loss of loved ones and I have memories I want to forget. However, these things have made me stronger and today I face the world with a smile because I know things will always get better. And those who love me will always be there for me. " Author Unknown
