Memorial services for Sherry Rathburn Mayo, 48, of Diboll, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, November 4, 2013 at Woodlawn Baptist Church, with Bro. Kenneth Mayo and Bro. Roy Hall officiating.
Sherry was born January 5, 1965 in Manhattan, Kansas, the daughter of the late Chung Cha (Yu) and Donald Roy Rathburn. She passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at her residence.
Sherry was a homemaker and a loving mother to her children.
Survivors include her son, Joshua Clayton Mayo and wife Kaleena of Diboll; daughter, Laura Zamora and husband Roberto of Diboll; son, Zachary Mayo of Lufkin; granddaughters, Jacqueline Zamora, Emeliana Zamora, Hailey Lovelady and Alaina Lovelady; former husband, James Mayo; sisters, Sandy Lynn Cossey and husband Mike of Ogden, Kansas and Susan Kaye Booton and husband Jeff of Denver, Colorado; brothers, Martin Van Rathburn and wife Hyun Joo of Olathe, Kansas and Jim Rathburn and wife Kathy of Enterprise, Alabama; and a number of other family members.
In addition to her parents, Sherry was preceded in death by her sister, Stary Charlton.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening at Oakley-Metcalf Funeral Home.
