Sherry Quaile Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 24, 2023.
Sherry Lee Quaile (Burrow) passed away peacefully on November 19, 2023, at the age of 66 in Lee's Summit, Missouri. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother/great-grandmother, and friend, who fought a courageous battle against ovarian cancer. Sherry's legacy of strength, loyalty, and stoicism will forever inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.

She is survived by her spouse, Bruce Quaile, sister: Marilyn Kirtley, daughters: Patty Boggs and Hilary Roark, son: Darren Quaile along with 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.

Born on January 9, 1957, in Kansas City, Missouri, Sherry was the daughter of Leland and Ruby June Burrow. She grew up in Grandview, Missouri, and later resided in Omaha, Nebraska, before settling in Lee's Summit, Missouri, in 1996. In February 2019, Sherry was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, and she faced her illness with grace and courage.

Beyond her roles as a dedicated mother and wife, Sherry found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a passion for dancing that lit up every room she entered. As an avid antiquer and thrifter, she had a keen eye for uncovering treasures, turning each discovery into a story to be shared with enthusiasm.

Sherry will be remembered not only for her love of life but also for the love she poured into her family and friends. Her memory will continue to dance in our hearts, and her strength will serve as a guiding light through life's challenges.

A celebration of Sherry's life will take place on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church located at 416 SE Grand Ave, Lee's Summit, MO 64063. Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 3:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Sherry's honor to the Wayside Waifs Animal Shelter and National Ovarian Cancer Coalition. Contributions can be made online at https://secure.waysidewaifs.org/site/Donation2?df_id=7120&mfc_pref=T&7120.donation=form1.
