Shirley Ann Foreman

Shirley Ann Foreman, a loving mother, grandmother and aunt, passed away in her home on June 27, 2025, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She was 86 years young.

Shirley was born on November 11, 1938 in Lafayette, Louisiana, the daughter of Frank Foreman Sr. and Ruby Lampman Foreman. She grew up there with her siblings, Frank Foreman Jr. and Molly Foreman Davidson who preceded her in death.

Shirley graduated from Lafayette High School in 1956 and then from the Lilly Jolly School of Nursing in Houston, Texas. Shirley was a very proud registered nurse who loved her profession. She dedicated over 50 years of her life to nursing and home health administration, spreading her compassion to every community she served. Beyond her professional life, Shirley was a gifted artist, creating many beautiful paintings that will be cherished by those who were lucky enough to receive one! She was a spiritual person being a member of the Broadmoor Methodist Church and had an enduring love for all the pets she cared for over the years. She made her final home in Baton Rouge to be near her family. She was a fierce mother, doting Nana (na-nee), and loyal friend. She supported her family in everything, and she will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her beloved daughters, Elizabeth Mann Warren (Jeff), and Jessica Mann Boyt and three grandchildren Mine Ann Dogu (Parker), Genevieve Warren-Brown (Caleb), and Nathaniel Warren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a service to celebrate Shirley's life at Duhon Funeral Home, 900 E Texas Ave, Rayne, LA 70578 on Wednesday July 2, 2025. Visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 9:00 a.m. with the service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Indian Bayou Methodist Cemetery.
