Shirley Ethel Grinnan, 91, of Homosassa, FL, passed away on Sun., Jan. 21, 2018 at her home. A native of East Rutherford, New Jersey, she was born Nov. 17, 1926 to John and Frances (Janeske) Knight, one of two children. A lifelong loving homemaker, Shirley moved to Homosassa in 1989 from Pompton Lakes, N.J. with her beloved husband of 65 years, Jack Grinnan, who passed away in 2014. Shirley loved to spend lots of time with her friends socializing and playing cards and was a parishioner of St. Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church of Homosassa. She is survived by her children John Thomas Grinnan of Oswego, IL and Donna Webster (husband Phillip), Milford, VA; grandchildren Dana and Kristen and twin great grandsons John and Ryan, with one more soon to be born great grandson, John. In addition to her parents and her husband Jack, Shirley was preceded in death by a daughter Cheryl Rinchiuso and a brother, Kenneth Knight. Graveside service will be held on Friday, Feb. 2, 2018 at 2:30 P.M. from Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. with Deacon Roland Desjardins officiating.
