Funeral services for Shirley Jean Rose Hensley, age 82 will be held on Saturday at 1:00pm from the Chapel of Whitson Funeral Home. Bro. Ronald Strong will officiate at the service and family and friends will serve as Pallbearers. Burial will be at the Byers Cemetery in Jackson County.
DUE TO COVID-19 THE VIEWING AND THE SERVICE WILL BE PRIVATE FOR THE FAMILY. THE FAMILY OF SHIRLEY HENSLEY WOULD LIKE TO EXPRESS THIER APPRICIATION FOR ALL THE PRAYERS AND WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT THEY HAVE RECIEVED DURING THIS DIFFICULT TIME.
Shirley Jean Rose was born to Frank and Francis (Meaders) Haney of the Shiloh community.
She was a homemaker. She was married to the late Clifford Hensley 66 years and they lived and worked in Nashville, TN until they retired and moved to Cookeville, TN.
She is survived by, daughter, Charlene and son-in-law Adrian Qualls of Carthage Tn, sister, Fay and brother-in-law Joe Hammock of Baxter, Tn, daughter-in-law, Amie Burdett, grandchildren, Stephanie Martin, Melissa Shade (Ryan) , Andrea (Alex) Kraft, Chandra (William) Moncrief and Christopher Hensley, great grandchildren, Daphne, Keely, Lila, Parker, Abigail, Chloe and Alexandrea. She is also survived by many Nieces and Nephews
In addition to her Husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Sam and Eva Brewington Meaders and George and Cora (Payne) Haney, son, Randy Hensley, daughter, Katherine Hensley, great grandson, Will Kraft, brothers, Aron Haney, Kenneth Haney, Herbert Haney, Marshal (Bud) Haney and Dallas Haney, sisters, Dorothy McKinnis, Darleen Williams, Judy long, Jewel Haney and sister-in-law Reba Hensley.
