Shirley Palmer Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 27, 2024.
Shirley Jean Palmer, age 84, of Fort Myers, FL, left this world to be with Jesus on January 22, 2024. Shirley was born on June 19, 1939, in Flint, MI. She was a devoted wife to her late husband, Dick, and together they faithfully ministered at Faith Tabernacle in Flint, MI. Shirley was a woman of strong faith and held a deep love for Jesus.

Shirley was a loving mother to her two children, Debbie and Greg, and her stepchildren, Sherrie, Daelyn, Rick, and Julie. She enjoyed being a grandmother to her 12 grandchildren and a great grandmother to her 12 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her family, Shirley had a passion for animals. Whether they had fur or feathers, she adored them all, especially dogs and cats. She also had a keen business sense and successfully owned three hair salons. Shirley had an adventurous spirit and even went skydiving in her seventies. She enjoyed the thrill so much that she said she would have done it again.

Shirley was known for her impeccable style, always wearing dark red lipstick, perfectly manicured nails, and stylish hair. Her love and compassion touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Shirley was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dick, and her daughter, Debbie. She was also preceded in death by her stepdaughter, Sherrie. Their memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved them.

A virtual memorial service has been scheduled to honor Shirley's life. It will take place on Saturday, February 3, 2024. Further details and a link to the service will be provided. Please join us in remembering and celebrating the life of Shirley Jean Palmer.
