Sidney Wayne was a good friend. He loved my kids when they were little. We were all family. I babysat Ruben for him when he and Donney Ray roofed together. He will always hold a special place in my heart. Until we meet again my friend.

What can I say? Too young comes to mind..but then again, Sidney Wayne probably put 90 years worth of hard work and devotion to family into the 53 years he was on this earth. I know his family, professional acquaintances, and many friends will miss him dearly. My condolences and prayers go out to all.
I remember one time at the lake when a few of us nere-do-well friends got together. We might have been playing hookey(?)(Hey! We were teenagers so we can't get in trouble now..:) I was struggling to get out of the water, (the bank was slippery),and no one seemed to notice.Wayne finally realized I was in trouble and reached down to pull me out. Looking back on that day, I can honestly say he saved my life! I truly believe God takes note of the good deeds a person does. If this is true, Wayne has a grand place upstairs to watch over us ALL :) I'll try to find a pic to post later!

I knew Sidney since we were in the 2nd grade at Summit Elem. I knew his sisers, too. He was a good friend, and I knew Rueben since he was a baby. So close to home. Growing up with Sidney Wayne since I was 12 , He was really cool.Always seemed to be laid back and never had a bad thing to say about anyone , And always there to help out in any way that he could. There has been a lot of good times over the years. All of us that hung together stood up for each other as well. You even baby sat for me with Lisa Gail when she was a baby. A good friend always . Yes , you will be missed Wayne. I know that we will again run down the same path and be able to laugh about it all. So until then my friend gather all our friends together for the reunion. We'll party for sure.
I would guess this was taken between 1978 and 1980. (I could be off though, you know who my parents are so it's possible...)

I remember Sydney Wayne being my buddy when I was a little girl. He made me smile, and I will always remember that about him.I also remember playing with Rueben and how much Sydney Wayne loved him. My heart goes out to his family. I have attached a photo from back then. See he was my BUDDY!
