Simonne Rose-Marie Freeman

Simonne Rose-Marie (Doyon) Freeman, age 81 passed away peacefully at CMC on Dec. 12, after a lengthy illness. Simonne was born October 3, 1937, in Leominster MA.

The Daughter of (late) Conrad and Laurette Doyon, she was a lifelong resident of Manchester.

She graduated from St. George's High School for girls in Manchester and later from Nashua travel school.

She spent her early career as a New England telephone operator, then became a dedicated housewife.

Simonne leaves behind her five children, Linda Mahan of Islesboro, Maine, Debra Freeman of Manchester, Terri Dean of Manchester, Richard Freeman of Manchester and Steven Freeman of Manchester

She also has six grandchildren, Max Mahan, Mark Gigliotti, Jacob, Kyle and Megan Freeman and Lillian Rose Simonne Freeman.

She is survived by her seven siblings, Claire Vanasse, Armand, Maurice, Richard, Bertrand, Leo and Arthur Doyon, plus several nephews and nieces and lots of cousins.

In her life she enjoyed spending time with her family, she loved line dancing and ballroom dancing, card games and Bingo. She also enjoyed snowmobiling, bowling and camping, as well as traveling.

At her request, a private service will be held for her immediate family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Lung Association.
