I think of Stan ever so often. My company used his firm, and I had the honor of working with him for 20 years. What a great lawyer and man. I cherish the letter he wrote me after I left my company. I have his book on my self. His death was a great loss. May you RIP Stan Tobin.

Stan was wit, humor, passion, politics and intellect, but most of all, he was fun, fun, fun! I only knew him through Plaato but from the first meeting I felt I'd known him all my life.

I met Stan through the PLATO Society of UCLA. Most noteable and memorable were his intellect, energy and always smiling face. We will all miss him; and, wish his family our condolences.

Stan was effusive about almost everything significant. His books, Journey in Search of Justice and A Legacy Lost, deserve attention and praise. With his wit, sense of history, and direct experience, he contributed a great deal to Constitution-21 posted on the internet. I miss a friend.

I was shocked and saddened when I read about Stan tonight. He was my cousin, but we had lost touch. I remember playing ball with him and his brother,Alan, on the street in front of their house in Dorchester. Later, when we grew up, he came in from California to some kind of family festivity and I was fortunate enough to be seated beside him. I marvelled at his depth and sense of humor. But, again, he became only a pleasant memory for me. Reading these sincere entries in the Guest Book helps me to understand what he was like. I regret that I didn't know him better. My condolences to his family.

I work for the NLRB and had cases with Stan for over 30 years before he retired. I loved his laugh. We always had fun whether we found his clients "guilty" or "innocent." He was a terrific guy!!!

Many years ago Stan Tobin was my mentor and idol when he attended Harvard and was active in the B'nai B'rith Youth Organization (AZA). I had not had contact with him for many years until three years ago when we reconnected. My wife and I had a most enjoyable weekend at his home and I was thrilled to see him and also read his recent publications. I am saddened to learn of his death and will always be in my thoughts,

I will miss him more than he ever knew. Since I first met him in 1992 he always took the time to mentor me and provide unique insights into the unique world of employment practices. Be with God my friend.

Stan passionately loved the practice of law. His passion was manifest by his enthusiastic advocacy, which won not only cases but also great loyalty from his clients. Working with Stan taught us much. We will miss, but not forget, his enthusiam and irrepressible good humor.

Stan was a great mentor and friend for over 20 years. He helped bring me in to the firm in 1985, and was always a great source of wisdom, knowledge, and support to all of us in the Labor Department at the firm. I already miss his laughter floating down the hallways. We all miss Stan, and appreciate all the years that we were privileged to have worked with him.

Stan was a good friend with whom I shared many a fun and lively conversation over my years at Hill, Farrer & Burrill, helping him research a myriad of fascinating topics that had nothing to do with the day to day practice of law but which his wide ranging intellectual curiosity brought within his ken.
