Hopewell Junction - Stanley P Wrona Sr. , 86, of Hopewell Junction, passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2025 surrounded by his immediate family. He was born on June 10, 1939 in Yonkers, New York. Stanley was one of ten children to Bolesalw Wrona and Tatianna Zyla with one surviving sister, Judith Murphy.

Stanley served his country with honor as a Machinist's Mate aboard the USS Cony (DD/DDE-508). After his naval service, he worked as a steamfitter with Local 543/Local 21 until his retirement in 2001. He was proud of his Polish heritage and was a devoted member of the Polish American Club.

In 1962, Stanley married the love of his life, Marion. They shared 36 wonderful years together until her passing in 1998. His devotion to her and their family remained constant throughout his life.

Stanley is survived by his children, Stanley P Wrona Jr. , Christine Pikul, and Christopher Wrona and their spouses Nancy Wrona, Kerry Pikul, and Missie Wrona. He was also a beloved Poppop to 4 grandchildren, Andrew, Emily, Julia, and Joy as well as two great grandchildren Charlotte and Preston.

Stanley will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held on August 30th 2025 at 2 p.m. at American Legion Post 1302, 55 Overlook Road Poughkeepsie, NY 12603.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Veteran Affairs New York; Monroe's VA Hudson Valley HCS (620).
