Stephanie Andrea Dickson

Stephanie Dickson, 49, beloved mother, daughter, sister, and family member gained her heavenly wings peacefully May 26th, 2023, at the University Medical Center. Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 1 p.m. at Community Baptist Church. Private Disposition under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. She had put on a courageous health battle against severe lung disease and heart failure. Stephanie was born November 28th, 1973, in Lubbock, Texas. She graduated from Dunbar where she later became a mother to 5 children. To know Stephanie was to love her because she was the most beautiful, full of creativity, stubborn beam of light you could ever meet. Nothing she loved and adored more was getting herself dolled up and being a grandmother. Despite her severe health journey, she managed to bring her light to everyone who truly loved and adored her. She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Patsy Dickson; grandfather, Lepolua Dickson, Sr.; granddaughter, E'moni Traylor; and brother, Arthur Glynn, Jr. Stephanie will be greatly missed by her family, especially her children, Janice "Niecy" Bryant, Lasharon Owens, Ronny Pace, Jr., De'Shane Tyron, and Demorris Tryon, Jr.; followed by her 9 grandchildren, Ser'Rhyia Carson, Damien Keeton, Jordan Stewart, McKenzie Keeton, Z'evanie McCullough, De'Zenae McCullough, Jaliyah Stewart, Jacory Stewart, and J'ream Stewart. Stephanie leaves to cherish her memory; her mother, Janice Johnson; father, Arthur Glynn, Sr; her 11 siblings, Roneshia Patterson, Lacrise Johnson, Tina Brown, La'Donna Johnson, Shawanna Glynn, Kiyanna Hightower, Darius Johnson, Deshawn Walker, Arthur Thomas, Arshawn Green, and Cory Bracy; a host of other relatives and friends. Heaven gained a courageous, beautiful angel and as we celebrate the life of Stephanie always remembers all the great memories and her beauty.
