Dearest mother and grandmother, crocheted infant gifts beloved as family heirlooms and remained proud of her Polish heritage
Stephanie B. Juba (Soltys), age 90, of Carteret, N.J., beloved wife of the late Ignatz Juba, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family at JFK Medical Center on Sept. 19, 2018.
She will be dearly missed and remembered by her family, including her son, Raymond, and his wife, Joan, sons Allen and Mark, all of Carteret, her grandson, Matthew of Exton, Pa., and her sister, Loretta Moesch and her husband, George, of Totowa, N.J., and additional nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her brother, Stanley Soltys.
Stephanie was an executive secretary at Cardinal China Company of Carteret for over 30 years. She was a communicant of Divine Mercy Parish, Holy Family Church, Carteret.
She was an extremely creative person and was an accomplished knitter and crocheter: many of her infant sweater and blanket sets have been passed down from one generation to the next. She was proud of her Polish heritage and maintained a fluency in that language and a love for its cuisine throughout her life. She loved traveling to public gardens and green spaces with Longwood Gardens, Kennett Square, Pa., holding a special place in her heart. She was always quick to tell you a story of her life growing up in Carteret.
The funeral will be on Monday, Sept. 24, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. at Synowiecki Funeral Home, 56 Carteret Ave., Carteret. Mass will be at 10 a.m. at Divine Mercy Parish-Holy Family Church in Carteret, followed by interment at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia, N.J. Visiting hours will be on Sunday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
