Stephany Angel Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 12, 2024.
Stephany Ann Angel, 38, of Port Orchard, WA, passed away peacefully at home of heart failure, November 7, 2024.

Stephany was born on Valentine's Day, February 14, 1986, in Idaho Falls, ID, to parents George and Cindy (Wengel) Angel. After high school Stephany completed an associates degree program at Olympic College, in Bremerton, WA.

Unmarried, Stephany had no children, but was the undisputed favorite aunt, among her nieces and nephews.

Her career in food service spanned 19 years in various management roles at the Sedgwick McDonald's, in Port Orchard, WA. Beloved by coworkers, management, and owners alike, Stephany was well known for her work ethic, and loyalty as a friend, and famous for sharing her baked goods with coworkers.

Stephany's faith in Jesus was a central part of her life, and she attended Manchester Community Church, where she enjoyed playing flute and cello for the church orchestra on occasion.

She loved reading (peanuts cartoons being her favorite) gardening, drawing, cooking and baking, and was affectionately known as "Chef Steph". A memorial Service for Stephany will be held at Manchester Community Church on Thursday, November 14, at 1 PM.

Stephany is preceded in death by her parents George and Cindy Angel, and nephews Jack Ryan Angel, and Elijah James Crock. She is survived by her siblings, Jonathan Angel (and wife Elizabeth Angel) Sarah Angel, Joseph Angel, Hannah Crock (and Husband Joshua Crock), Timothy Angel (and wife Erin Angel). She is also survived by her ten nieces and nephews, many aunts, uncles, and cousins, including Aunt Carol Wengel, with whom Stephany resided.

Condolences to the whole Angel Family. Stephanie was a firecracker, she had big ideas and burned bright. My thoughts and prayers are with her family in this time.

My first memory of Stephy is that little girl in braids and/or pigtails, like in the photo. I got to watch her grow. She was like a fly on the wall, didn´t say much, but was always paying attention to the conversation. Eventually, she found her own voice, and wasn´t afraid to speak her mind. She is that one of a kind, person inimitable in her thoughtful ways.
