Stephen Bay Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 20, 2022.
Stephen Bay died on July 9th from complications of pneumonia due to the coronavirus. Beloved husband of Judy (nee Share), devoted father of Max (Aline) and Olivia, doting Pappy to Nikolai. Also survived by brother Anthony (Lillian) and many other family members who loved him dearly. Predeceased by parents Lorne and Rita, and sister Ailene.

Steve's wife and children were his world. Judy has always referred to him as the love of her life. What they cherished most was spending time together at their home in Santa Barbara, staring at the beautiful vista from their deck.

A giant in the real estate world, Steve was a mentor to hundreds of young brokers at CBRE. He was a collector of wine and bourbon who loved to cook and adored having a hungry crew to feed. An avid fly fisherman, Steve enjoyed his guy trips to Montana, Wyoming and Argentina. He will be remembered for his larger-than-life personality and infectious laugh and was loved by all who knew him.

Burial services were attended by the immediate family. A celebration of his life will be arranged for a future date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his memory to Trout Unlimited or Tower Cancer Research Foundation.
