Stephen Decker, 64, passed away on February 1, 2025, in Clinton, Massachusetts. Born on April 29, 1960, in Winchester, Massachusetts, Stephen was a true testament to resilience and joy.

From an early age, Stephen faced challenges that might have slowed others down-he was born with Downs Syndrome and a hole in his heart-but he never let those obstacles define him. Instead, he embraced life with enthusiasm and determination. He participated in numerous programs at Seven Hills at Devens and Beacon of Hope in Leominster, where he found community and purpose. A proud competitor in the Special Olympics, Stephen cherished every medal he earned.

Stephen also enjoyed working at Digital in the kitchen, where his love for food undoubtedly made him a natural fit. Eating was one of his greatest joys-alongside dancing, singing, and spending time with family and friends. His playful spirit shone through in everything he did; he was known for his flirtatious charm and infectious energy on the dance floor. Oh, did we mention eating?

Stephen is survived by his brothers Bob Decker (Maureen) and Scott Decker (Juliet), as well as his sister Jennifer Labonte (Andre). He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and cousins who will forever cherish his memory. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Charlotte Decker, and his sister Susan.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers who supported Stephen over the years, especially those who provided compassionate care during his final year.

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 26, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Meadowbrook Orchards, 209 Chace Hill Road, Sterling, Massachusetts.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Stephen's name to Beacon of Hope (62 West Street, Leominster, MA 01453) or the Local Chapter of Elvis Presley Impersonators.

Stephen's life was filled with laughter, love, and an unbreakable spirit. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
