Dear Nina and Family,
I used to work down the hall from Steve. I am attorney and so was my husband, Allan, whom I lost in a car accident on September 8, 2009. Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Keep your faith and know that you will all get through this together. Steve was a great man and a wonderful attorney.

Nina and Greenberg Family,
I am so saddened to hear of Stephen's death. I could not believe it when I heard. Stephen was a great friend and teammate. I have the greatest memories of our days at Allegheny. While we fell out of touch over the years, I often think of Steve and still tell stories like baseball players do. My heart goes out to the family. May you be strong during this difficult time and always remember the great things that made "Greenie" the man he was.

Greenberg Family:
I had not known Steve for very long and did not have an opportunity to know him well, but he recently defended a friend of mine. He was a listener to detail and really seemed to CARE about his clients. I was stunned to hear of his death and it felt as if I had lost a dear old friend. My sincere sympathy to you.

I only remember seeing Steve a couple times over the past many years since high school. I instructed and assisted in some defensive training with him several years back as well when I was still in Pittsburgh. I will always remember the pickup football games back at Frick or Schenley park where he often attended. From all the friends, family, and those he came across that signed the guest book, he seemed to have turned out to be an overall good guy. My condolences go out to Nina, their kids, his family and all who are affected by this tragic loss.

Dear Greenberg Family,
I had come to know Steve over the years as a Little League Coach and Dad, a devoted father and husband, a loving son, a great attorney and a friend. He was always quick to help me when I needed help. And he was just as quick with a smile and a witty comeback. You have my deepest sympathy and condolences. And my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

To the Greenberg Family,
I am so sorry for your loss, and pray that your hearts can heal. I fondly remember my childhood with Steve, especially the time we shared touring Israel in the summer of '82. I feel such deep sadness that Steve is gone, and I wish that my feelings in some way lighten the burden in your hearts.

I will always be greatful for the things that he has done for me in my life. Words can not express how much his work meant to me. I will miss hearing his voice. May he rest in peace. Nina and Family,
David and I were truly shaken when we heard the news of your horrible loss. No words can truly express our thoughts and feelings for all of you at this time.
We tried to pay our respects at the funeral home today, however, we could not get in. So many people evidently had great respect for him and for your family.
May you all find peace and serenity in the coming days, months, and years by being there to support each other.
He may be gone, but never forgotten. With our love and support,
Susi and David Goldberg

This is devastating news. My thoughts are very much with Nina and the rest of the Greenberg family. Steve was a mensch. He was funny and smart and cynical in all the right ways.
He was also by far the most dominant player in our Little League. Facing him on the mound was an intimidating experience that I remember well 30 years later.
I pray for peace and serenity for Nina and the Greenberg family and hold memories of Steve dear.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Greenberg family. My heart was very heavy when I heard of the loss of such a great attorney and just a great man in general. I met Steve from the law firm that I work for. He would meet with some of the attorneys at the firm. While he would wait to go to the conference room for their meeting we would talk about the way kids are raised today, the different neighborhoods and how we were raised. We would really just talk about the good old days and how everything is so different now. I have only known Steve for 3 or so years, but as I said my heart was very heavy at the loss of such a great person. He will be missed. With Deepest Sympathy.
