Kay, I don't know how to reach you. We didn't know Stephen but we have known you and Mike. I'm sure your dad was smiling down from heaven with him being a librarian. And, like you, he enjoyed the out-of-doors. We are both so sorry about your loss. Please take care of yourself and if you are ever near Baton Rouge give me a call. m

When we were told that MPL was hiring a temporary reference librarian, newly minted, from Louisiana I don't think we knew what to expect. What we got was a smart and gracious young man who impressed us with his willingness to work collaboratively, was full of great ideas, who loved libraries and all they stood for, and was a joy to work with.
Stephen was one of my favorite co-workers and his genuine love for his 2 girls was an exemplar that few can match.
I will say that his beating my entry for best gingersnaps in the MPL staff baking contest was a blow that took me some time to recover from, especially since he'd never made them before. All looked forward to his King Cakes, a wonderful cultural treat that few of us had had the pleasure of eating before he came to Missoula.
Many thanks to his Louisiana family for supporting their relocating to MT. We miss him and have Sarah Beth and Epi in our prayers.
