Stephen (“Steve”) Andrew Houston, 51, of Lake Mary, Florida, passed away on March 20, 2015.
A grave-side service will be held at Oaklawn Park Cemetery at 1:00 on Monday, March 23. Steve May of First Baptist Church, Winter Park will be officiating and special music will be provided by Skye Dumoulin. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home.
Steve was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on June 7, 1963. He graduated from W.B Ray High School in Corpus Christi, Texas in 1980 and continued his studies at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Baylor in 1983. Steve was especially gifted in music, had a rich tenor voice and loved to sing. Soon after graduating from Baylor, he served as minister of music and youth in Hubbard, Texas. Later, he worked many years for ADI as a security and fire sprinkler system design specialist and store manager. He was active in his church choir and was frequently a soloist. Most importantly, he was a devoted husband, a loving father and a faithful follower of Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior.
Steve married Fanya Walker on August 17, 1985 and they were married for nearly 30 years. He is survived by his wife, Fanya Houston, his three children, William Andrew Houston, Benjamin Allen Houston and Aria Elizabeth Houston and a brother, Richard Alton Houston as well as his niece, nephews, and other family and friends.
Steve is preceded in death by his parents James Andrew Houston and Barbara Bevis Houston.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the American Diabetes Association www.diabetes.org.

Fanya, I am so very sorry. Steve was such a wonderful man and I have fun memories of our practice sessions together.....it became more of a therapy session for both of us. I loved him dearly as a precious friend. I am available if you need anything.
