TRAUSCH, Carolyn Anne
(née Sexsmith)
March 8, 1966 – April 15, 2017
Carolyn passed peacefully in Paris following a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her loving husband, Francois and their two sons, Alexandre and Nicolas, her parents Bill and Pat Sexsmith and her sister, Wendy and brother, Craig (Aki). Carolyn after obtaining her B. Com. at Queen's and MBA at Harvard went on to enjoy a diverse career as an investment banker, management consultant and international art curator. Her most rewarding role was being a Mom in an engaging family. Always a global citizen, she has resided in Tokyo, New York, London, Boston, Frankfurt and Paris, her favourite city. A memorial service will be held at Shaughnessy Heights United Church, 1550 West 33rd Avenue, Vancouver on July 10, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Donations in Carolyn's memory may be made to the BC Cancer Foundation.

I only, just now, heard of Carolyn's passing. I am very shocked and greatly saddened by this news. We were housemates at Queen's 30+ years ago and I was fortunate enough to have spent time with her in Tokyo for approx one month between our 3rd and 4th years. Carolyn was always so much fun and so brilliant. She always had a twinkle in her eye. We shared some fun times. Sadly, we lost touch through the years and I often wondered about her whereabouts and status.

I am very sorry for the family's loss. My deepest condolences to all of you.
