Steve Alvarado, Sr., 61, passed away Wednesday morning June 27 at CHI St. Joseph Regional Health Center.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 30 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 – 7 p.m. Friday with a rosary service at 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.

Steve was born May 9, 1957 in Bryan the Son of Joe Sr. and Santa (Garza) Alvarado. He liked to barbeque and get together with family and friends. Steve was a very talented carpenter and enjoyed playing bass guitar with numerous bands. He was catholic faith.

Steve is preceded in death by his father, Joe Alvarado Sr.; brothers, Joe Alvarado Jr. and Carlos Alvarado Jr.; and a sister, Sylvia Escamilla.

He is survived by his mother, Santa Alvarado; son, Steve Alvarado Jr.; daughters, Melony Sifuntes and Janie Marie Alvarado; grandchildren, Ashley, Jon Anthony, Joe Luis, Gavin, Jacob, Isiah, Kane and Sydni; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Rigoberto Sandoval; brothers and sister-in-law, David Alvarado, Richard and Brenda Alvarado; nieces and nephews, Jennifer Ramirez, Rose Arevalo, Sonya Urrutia, Nicole Romo, Roxanne Mendez, Richard Alvarado Jr., David Alvarado Jr., Nicolas Alvarado, Andrea Castillo, Christopher Alvarado, Angelica Seneff and Christina Sandoval; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
