I am so stunned and saddened to learn, just this evening, of Steve's passing. Jeanne and I have been friends since age 14, and so I have known Steve and their true love relationship for a very long time. A truly good man, husband, father and grandfather, as well as a respected member of his work community, he will be missed by all. He touched the lives of so many in such a positive way. May the tributes and the memories shared bring comfort to his family.

Steve was my "father" at Martin Marietta for many years. He always said "yes" and I had to live up to that expectation. He was so sincere in helping me succeed no matter the task. I grew personally by Steve mentoring me. To Jean and family, my sincere condolences for your and our loss. Be assured that Steve affected everyone he knew in a positive, loving way.

Steve was never sick , he had physicals every year that were superlative. We played word games til 11:00pm, he turned over to sleep and 20 minutes I called 911 and by midnight he was gone. He was my life, my love and was my reason for living. The shock of his passing is more than I can handle. I cannot even put into words how good a man he was!!i am grieving and just long to be with him.

Jeannie and Family,
You were specially blessed that Steve was appointed by God for you to be part of Steve's lifetime.
Steve was a special person to me since I employed him directly out of college. He was my success story as he progressed through a wonderful career. Steve's care for others and always being helpful was his trademark.
His legacy is one that has had significant impact on many lives that he touched in his lifetime. He made a difference and we all are better persons for having enjoyed his friendship. God Bless and rest well

Steve was one of the good guys at Martin Marietta. He was my manager on many projects through the years and helped and supported me on many difficult occasions. I, like a lot of former aquaitences, were shocked and deeply saddened by his passing. God bless his family and guide them through these difficult times.

Steve was my friend and instructor throughout my undergraduate and graduate years. Every time I registered for a course, there he was with that cautious smile and even tempered patience. All of us respected him as an honest and worthy mentor. Rest well, Steve knowing you made a tremendous difference to so many friends and students.
