I just found out of the news about Steve's passing last night. I am in shock and sadden by the news. I have not seen Chad or Steve for a couple years. I remember hanging out with Ole and Petey during our Bantam hockey days. Staying over at their house playing pond hockey in the back yard. I thinking and praying for his family who lost a great guy. Prays go out to his wife and children during this differcult time.

I met Steve a week before the accident. He arranged a day of ice fishing for his good friend, Todd, and me. Steve was friendly, generous and displayed a great sense of humor. We mostly talked about our wives and kids, laughing and smiling as we exchanged stories, they were obviously the center of his life.
In the short time we shared, it was obvious Steve was a man of great character.
My sincerest condolences to his family and friends.
