marie, we cannot say enough at this time to ease the hurt you have in your heart now. Always remember the wonderful times you two have shared and he will always be with you. Our hearts go out to you and your family and you and Steve are in our prayers. Sometimes words can ease the pain. Just remember, Pete and I love you very much. God Bless!

I couldn't wait to throw my arms around you and give you a Big Hug!
I wanted to ask you if you liked Ford or Chevy, and I was going to tease you if you said Chevy.
I had so many questions to ask you and so many things to tell you, but that's okay because I'll be able to do all that when I see you in Heaven.
I've always been proud to call you my Grandpa, and I love you very much Grandpa!
Until then...

Uncle Steve, I will miss you. You always believed in me, and made sure I knew how exceedingly proud you were of me. You were so caring, nonjudgemental, and wonderful. I am a lucky girl to have been able to call you my uncle. You have gone to Heaven, but you will always be in my heart. I love you, forever and always. Love, your know-it-all niece.

Thinking of you at this time of loss and sorrow. I wish there was something I could say or do to make your loss easier. Sometimes our deepest feelings can't always find their way from our hearts into words. Keep all the happy times with Steve close to your heart now and forever. May God help you through this difficult time. I am so very sorry, and though I am far away.....I grieve with you! My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family during this difficult time. May God comfort you with His love and give you peace.

Marie, I was shocked and saddened to hear that Steve was gone so quickly. I only knew him through the work he did here at Lake Sheridan, painting my cottage last year and my porch this year, but I was so happy to recommend him to other cottagers because his work was beautiful and he was such a fair and decent man. I am sorry that you have lost your husband at such a young age. He was a sweet guy and he will be missed.
