COLDWATER - Steven O. Dutcher, 75, of Florida, formerly of Coldwater, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2015 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Aug. 22, 2015 at noon at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Coldwater with Rev. Mark Vyverman officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Coldwater. Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 21, 2015 from 6 - 8 p.m., with the Rosary to begin at 7:30 p.m., at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.

Steve was born March 6, 1940 in Lansing, Michigan to Harold and Josephine (Hammerschmidt) Dutcher. He married Marina Krupi on Nov. 5, 1966 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. She preceded him in death on Dec. 6, 1999.

Mr. Dutcher was a licensed funeral director who owned and operated Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater from 1972 until his retirement in 2004. He grew up in Lansing, and graduated from Wisconsin Institute of Mortuary Science in 1963. Steve worked at Palmer-Bush Funeral Home in Lansing before moving to Coldwater in 1972, when he purchased the former Baggerly Funeral Home. He was an active member of St. Charles Church and very active in the Coldwater community, serving on many boards and in a variety of service clubs.

Steve is survived by his children, Dr. Steve (Dr. Amy Mostafavi) Dutcher of North Palm Beach, Florida, Greg (Brenda) Dutcher of Athens, Kathy (Mark) Barone of Coldwater, Mark (Kay Lynn) Dutcher of West Lake Village, California; his sister, Jacqueline (Jim) Russell of West Bloomfield; his grandchildren, Cassandra, Gregory and Rachael Dutcher, Vinni, Vito and Sal Barone, Gage and Gemma Dutcher.

Steve on his 71st birthday

Steve was a good neighbor and friend for the past 10 years who will be missed by many of his friends and neighbors in Florida. He often praised his wife Marina, his children and grandchildren and hopefully his family knows how much he truly and unconditionally loved them, up until the very end.
