Steven Ray Seitz, 65, of McArthur, passed away Sunday, December 19, 2021, at his residence. He was born October 15, 1956, in McArthur, son of the late Omer and Alyce Waldron Seitz. Steve was married to Tonette Simpson Seitz, who survives.
He was a retired mill foreman at Crownover Lumber, a member of the Delta Masonic Lodge #207 F&AM in McArthur and the Aladdin Temple Shrine in Columbus.
Steve is survived by his brother, Alan (Kim) Seitz of McArthur; sisters, Kathy Cecil of McArthur and Pam (Jim) Satory of McArthur; uncle and aunt, Carl (Shirley) Dutcher of Wellston; nieces and nephews, Adam and Chloe Seitz of McArthur; Julie (Scott) Bowser of Troy, Ashley (Rich) South of Dayton and Scott (Mikka) Murray of Ray; great nieces and nephews, Reid and Grant Bowser of Troy and Annabelle and Addie South of Dayton; special friends, Tasha (J.D.) Castor and Jarrett Castor, of McArthur and special brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Sherry Kimble of Jackson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Ryan N. Seitz.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, January 8, 2022, in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Rev. Bruce Hines and Rev. Gary Sollars officiating. Burial will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur, at a later date. Friends may call at the funeral home, one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Steven R. Seitz, to the Herbert Wescoat Memorial Library, 120 N. Market St., McArthur, Ohio 45651 or to St. Francis Outreach, 404 W. South St., McArthur, Ohio 45651.
