(Gatehouse of Fleet, Kirkcudbrightshire)
The family of Dr Stewart Hunter is sad to announce his death on February 18, 2021, at the age of 84, at Fleet Valley Care Home, Gatehouse of Fleet. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Valerie, his three children Ruth, Kirsty, Colin, his seven grandchildren and by his sister Nonie. A private family service will take place on March 1, at the Parish Church, Gatehouse of Fleet at 11 am. A celebration of Stewart's life will take place on July 24. All will be welcome. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Gatehouse Parish Church, The Ghurka Welfare Trust or Scottish Mountain Rescue.
