What a wonderful legacy Sue Light gave by transcribing the War Diaries written by my great aunt Dame Emma Maud McCarthy. I listened to the interview December 2019 that was recorded in 2008 on Australian Broadcasting Corporation radio https://www.abc.net.au/radionational/programs/lifematters/3262488
Sue left significant historical documentation of the work in the nursing profession. I am so grateful. Kathryn Anne Sevier (nee McCarthy) Austrlia. I am descended from the Jack Edmond McCarthy, a younger brother of Dame Emma Maud McCarthy.

Death of a nurse is always special; but Sue was a very special nurse indeed, she did so much in her time with us. She made sure that earlier generations of nurses were not forgotten, we will remember her x LHT x

Loss to women's history
Sue's contribution to nursing history during World War One cannot be over-estimated. Many of us will be forever in her debt
