Susan R. Brackett

Susan (Rogers) Brackett, age 58, died on Monday, June 26th, 2017 at the McCarthy Care Center in Sandwich, MA. Born in Salem, MA on February 10, 1959, she was daughter of the late John P. Rogers and Deborah (Damon) (Rogers) Blake. Susan was educated in Hingham Schools and also attended Westfield State College. She moved to South Yarmouth 27 years ago, previously residing in Duxbury. Susan was an avid reader and a lover of the arts and entertainment in all forms. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed knitting and crafting. Susan was an innate caregiver to not just her family but to many friends and acquaintances whom she got to know over her life. She was known for her quick-witted sense of humor and love for Snapple. Susan will be sorely missed by the many hearts she touched. She was the loving mother of Kendra (Brackett) Wallin and her husband Jared of Centerville, and John Rogers Brackett of Tahoe Vista, CA. She was the beloved sister of Scott Rogers of Marshfield and Steven Blake of Brockton. She was predeceased by her brothers Mark Rogers and Robert Rogers. She was the cherished grandmother of Emma Wallin and Parker Wallin. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 11th, 2017 at the Cartmell Funeral Home, 150 Court St., Plymouth from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by a Memorial Service at the Cartmell Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Marshfield Hills Cemetery.
