Susan Crick Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Feb. 10 to Feb. 13, 2015.
Susan Kornrumpf Crick, age 64, of Fayetteville, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2015. She was born to the late William L. Kornrumpf and Robbie Braud Kornrumpf on September 27, 1950 in Baton Rouge, La. Susan attended St. Gerard Majella Elementary School and Redemptorist High School. She received an Associate Degree in General Studies from Blue Ridge Community College and also studied at Mary Baldwin College. Soon after, she began her young life as a wife and mother of three daughters and later accepted her stepsons as her own. She was an avid genealogist and loved to learn through research and reading. As a seamstress, Susan enjoyed making clothes for her girls. Her many talents allowed her to create beautiful crocheted and cross stitched crafts and gifts, and also create unique and beautiful floral arrangements. She also enjoyed gardening and cooking. Her passion for baking led her to bake specialty cakes, pies, and pastries for family and friends. Although she loved Louisiana cuisine and culture, she preferred the small town life in the mountains of Tennessee, and eventually made Fayetteville her permanent home. Susan is survived by daughters; Charlotte L. Pringle, Baton Rouge, La; Christy N. Pringle, Fayetteville, Tenn.; Heather A. Pringle, Fairfax, Va.; Stepsons; M. Elihu Crick and Margaret, Weyers Cave, Va.; Michael A. Crick, San Antonia, Tx.; step grandchildren; Parker and Helena Crick. She is preceded in death by her parents; William L. Kornrumpf, III and Robbie Kornrumpf, sister Jeanne Dell K. Moniotte and stepson James A. Crick. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, La from 12:00 p.m. until the memorial service at 2:00p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the "Susan Kornrumpf Crick Memorial Fund" http://www.gofundme.com/lr5uaw or contact Beverly K. Cain at [email protected]. Your generous contribution will help defray funeral and medical expenses for the family.
