Susan Gaster Obituary
Susan Janette Crocker Gaster, age 51, of Godwin, NC passed away Saturday, July 8, 2017 after a long courageous battle with cancer at her home and surrounded by her family.
She was born January 26, 1966 in Wadesboro, North Carolina the daughter of the late Margaret Brown Hayes and James Brown Hayes.
Susan adored her family and could be found in their company most of the time, especially when she had the opportunity to spoil her five grandchildren. She loved to be on the shores of Topsail beach surf fishing.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 33 years, Wesley Gaster of the home; son, Jordan Gaster and wife Stephanie of Autryville, NC; daughter, Brittany Gaster Tyndall and husband Jessie of Dunn, NC; grandchildren, Madison Gaster, Jessie Brayden Tyndall, Kaylee Fisher, Laci Tyndall and Lily Gaster; brothers, James Earl Hayes (Debbie) of Dunn, NC and Jimmy Hayes (Shelly) of Hope Mills, NC; sisters, Shelia Jones (Brian) of SC, Norma Baker (Anthony) of Coats, NC, Kathy Bordeaux, of Lillington, NC and Juanita McCleod (Mike) of Erwin, NC and numerous other loving family and friends.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held 3:00 PM on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Cromartie Funeral Home with Reverend Jerome Pope officiating. A visitation will be one hour prior at the funeral home.

I didn't get to know her like I wanted to but for the time I spent with her she was a great and beautiful and caring woman my kids loved her. I am happy that she is outta pain now but it's just so heart breaking to see a good woman getting taking away by something so ugly I wish she didn't have to go thru that.
