Susan Holland Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 13, 2002.
Susan Elizabeth ParryHolland  Susan Elizabeth Parry Holland returned to our loving Heavenly Father, Oct. 10, 2002 in Salt Lake City. She was born Jan 30, 1917 to Edwin F. Parry, Jr. and Maude Rudy. Sue attend-ed Jackson Ele-mentary, Jackson Jr. High and graduated from West High School. She married Wil-lie Mace Holland June 4, 1947. Happily married for 55 years, they had a happy life and loved each other very much. Susan was a very loving and caring person although they never had any children she was always there for her nieces and nephews and any other family that might have needed her help. Sue was loved for her gracious hospitality and loving generosity to both family and friends and many in need and for her great sense of humor and contagious laugh. Sue was employed by the Utah State Tax Commission. Sue was a very active faithful and lifetime member of LDS Church and served in various positions in the Young Women, Primary, and Relief Society. Was a temple worker in the Salt Lake Temple and served a mission to the Iowa, Des-Moines Mission with her husband, 1980-81. Four years ago, Willie suffered from a stroke and since then he has been in a nursing home. So while all alone unable to drive, or even walk very well, Sue had a few guardian angels to help her. To those angels she was most grateful, a special thanks to them. Also a special thanks to the Fay Case Nursing Home and Chancellor Gardens for the loving care they gave to her and Willie. Survived by her husband, Willie; sister-in-law, Nina Bell; many loving nephews and nieces. Preceded in death by her brothers, Winslow Parry, wife, Viola; and Dr. Richard Parry. Services will be Tues. Oct 15, 11 a.m., Russon Brothers Salt Lake Mortuary, 255 S. 200 E. Friends may call Mon. Oct 14, 6-8 p.m. prior to service Tues. 9:45-10:45 a.m. Burial, Salt Lake City Cemetery, 4th Ave. & "N" St. Maps and online guest book are available at www.russonmortuary.com
