Susan McKenna Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 14, 2017.
Susan "Sue" McKenna passed away peacefully among family at her home in Exeter, New Hampshire on Sunday evening June 11, 2017. Susan was born March 6, 1947 in Brooklyn, New York to Anne (Bonomo) and August Borghese. She was the proud mother of Kathy and Matthew McKenna.

A proud Brooklyn native, Sue spent the better part of her life in Rockland County where she raised her family among cherished friends and relatives. Sue had over thirty years in the pension industry ending her career as a Senior Pension Consultant for INTAC Actuarial Services in New Jersey where she worked for fifteen years.

Her heart – and her kitchen – were always open and she touched many people with her generous, loving nature. She was extremely proud of the new generation of children in her life including her grandchildren Aurora and Ian Desmarais, Iona and Nick Conneely, her god children and the many people who called her "Aunt."

Sue lived her life vibrantly and enthusiastically easily making friends wherever she went. Her bubbly personality drew many people to her including her many new friends at Sterling Hill in Exeter, New Hampshire.

Sue loves music and dancing and spent her retirement socializing, knitting and doing Zumba.

Susan is survived by her two grandchildren, Aurora and Ian Desmarais, her daughter Kathy McKenna and son-in-law Robert Desmarais, her sister Mem Borghese and her partner Chet Wydrinski, her sister Jo Cavaliere, her husband Bob, and their daughters, Anne Conneely, Gabrielle and Chrissie Cavaliere.

Donations in lieu of flowers may be sent to the Exeter Area YMCA in New Hampshire, see http://www.sdymca.org/donate-to-the-y.

Sue was larger than life with her fun-loving and vibrant personality, never-ending generosity and especially her heart of gold! Our clients, industry partners, and most of all her INTAC family will miss Sue deeply and keep her close to our hearts always.
It was a privilege to know and work with Sue over the years. We were all blessed to have her in our lives and be a part of her extended family. She will be dearly missed. With comforting thoughts and deepest condolences, Max, Harry and Charles Rosenberg and the INTAC Family
