Susan E "Susie" Schlussel

Susan Ellen Schlussel, beloved wife of Alan and mother of Amanda and Lyle,passed away on July 17,2018. Susan was an Honors graduate of Skidmore College of Nursing. She earned a Masters Degree in Nursing from NYU Graduate School of Nursing. She worked as a clinical nurse at NYU Medical Center,Clinical Specialist at Beth Israel Medical Center and Assistant Director of Nursing at Saint Marys Hospital in Orange. She was also a research nurse at the Prudential Insurance Company and later provided nursing care for special needs students at a local elementary school. Sue eventually ended up working as a legal assistant in her brothers law office where she was the Chief of Good Karma . Susie will be remembered as the person who was loved by everyone she touched. Her grace, inner beauty and courage are the legacies she will leave to friends and family. She is also survived by her mother Diana Rosenbluth, her brother Jon, sister Patty and nieces Jessica, Samantha and Kathleen as well as her nephew Daniel. Susies family would ask that in lieu of flowers that donations in her memory be made to the ASPCA or local animal shelter of choice, as a tribute to her love for any dog in need of a home.
