Happy cousins Sue, Ellen and Roy

I am posting a picture taken around 1960 in Rogue River, Oregon at our grandparent's home with our cousin Sue. My sister Ellen is between us, you can tell we were having fun here as we always did when we got together. Suzanne was born almost exactly 7 months after me and 7 months before Ellen, so we were good company for each other. My most lasting memory of Suzanne is the scar that I still have on my inner thigh, from a wild wagon ride gone astray. We saw each other sporadically through the 1960's but lost track of each other in the beginning of the '70's when our family moved to Oregon, and theirs moved to Florida. I have only last week learned of Sue's passing and was saddened to learn she has been gone for almost 5 years. It was wonderful to watch the video with the pictures of her growing up, many of which seemed so familiar, and to finally be able to see the woman she became. It brought tears to my eyes, and made me wish we had kept in better contact with each other. Cousin Roy

Sue was one of my best friends. I loved her like a sister. I can't stand what happened to her and the suffering she endured the last 16 years of her life. She is free now! Fly free sweet spirit! Soar with the angels! ~ Ween
