Suzanne Lehman Obituary

Lehman, Suzanne

Suzanne (Sue) Lehman, Kaukauna, 86, passed away peacefully June 2, 2015 after a short battle with lung cancer, with her loving husband and family by her side, at the St. Paul Home in Kaukauna, WI. Sue was born June 23, 1928 to the late Edward and Leona (Engerson) Rennicke. She was a 1946 graduate of Kaukauna High School. On February 3, 1951 she married James Lehman at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kaukauna.

In October 1952, they moved to St. Louis where Jim was employed as a salesman for the George A. Hormel Co. They also spent time in Bismarck, ND, Mitchell, SD and Marshall, MN before relocating back to Kaukauna in 1971. Sue was a para professional at Nicolet School for nineteen years and loved every minute of it. She enjoyed the school children as if they were her own. She belonged to several organizations and served in a number of capacities: Kings Daughters, St. Aloysius school board, Kaukauna Hospital Association, Kaukauna planning commission and Fox Valley Golf Club.

Sue loved her husband and family above all things. Every day, Jim and Sue ended it with a kiss and "I love you." Her children and their spouses felt her love as did her seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. While the grandchildren were young, one of their favorite activities was to explore the 1000 Islands Environmental Center in Kaukauna. She always had words of advice in any situation. She felt communication was critical to any relationship.

She is survived by her husband of sixty-four years, Jim and three children: sons Terry (Andrea) Lehman, Whitefish Bay, WI and Tim (Polly) Lehman, Neenah, WI; and daughter Sarah (Gordon) Williamson, Kaukauna, WI; grandchildren: Shelby (Austin) Matthews, Chelsea (Taylor) Bentz, Rachel Lehman, Anna Lehman, Morgan Williamson, Parker Williamson and Gage Williamson; great-grandchildren: Eleanor Bentz and Ezra Matthews; and sister Jane (Rennicke) Caesar.

She was preceded in death by parents Leona and Edward Rennicke, brother Richard "Dick" (Carol) Rennicke, sister Mariam (Tip) O'Neil and in-laws Ester and George Lehman.

A celebration of life will take place at 12 Noon on Saturday, June 6, 2015 with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna. In Lieu of flowers, donations will be made to the Kaukauna Public Library and 1000 Islands Environmental Center, Kaukauna, WI. www.boettcherfamilyfuneral.com

The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Werner at the Kaukauna Clinic and all those who cared for her while she was at the St. Paul Home. Your care and concern for Sue was greatly appreciated.
