STEPHENSON, Sylvia. Beloved wife of Anthony (Tony). We had a short life together, but we lived it to the full, even though Covid cut short our Bucket List wishes. Sylvia slipped away peacefully after a tough fight with the Big C at the Summerset Care Centre on December 31st 2022. My thanks to the staff for their care in those last few days, as well as the Hospice and Oncology teams over the past two years. "Her message to those facing the final diagnosis was to make each day a memorable one for those around you, be strong even though you are hurting, and be brave for those around you". She did not suffer fools gladly, but her friends and relatives are many in NZ and Australia, as well as worldwide, and I am grateful to them all for their love and support. A private cremation has been held and a Celebration of Life will be held soon. "To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die".
